Earsking Francis Gatechair passed away on March 10, 2016 at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of Jane Mullinax Gatechair by second marriage and the late Annabelle Gatechair by first marriage. Father of Janabelle Packard (Larry), Joseph Gatechair (Jenny) and the late Earsking “Skipper” Gatechair Jr. (Allison). Grandfather of Shana, Penelope, Francis, Holly, Joseph Jr., Michael and Nathan. Great-grandfather of Crystal, Blaine Jr., David, Tre, Brandon, Bryan, Bradley and Josiah. Great-great-grandfather of Cadence, Alexander and the late Benjamin.
Step-father of Rose Vinci and Melany Plaucheˊ. Step-grandfather of Amy Burnette. Step-great-grandfather of Jordan Cook. Son of the late Esther and Francis Gatechair. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II achieving the rank of Seaman First Class/Quartermaster.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Graveside Services with Military Honors at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, LA on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 1 PM.
