Edgar J. Daigle, Jr. passed away on December 6, 2013 at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of Carolyn Holt Daigle for over 50 years. Father of Colette Rouchon (fiancé Craig Baudoin), Gretchen Treadway (Michael), Deborah Davis (Miller Guice), Edgar J. Daigle, III (Cheryl), Carolyn Favaloro (Gerald) and Lydia Schambach (Wayne). Grandfather of Alyssa Rouchon, Nicholas Rouchon, Jacob Treadway, Joshua Treadway, Rebecca Davis, Alexander Davis, Jessica Daigle, Zachary Daigle-Nastasi, Ayden Favaloro, Carly Favaloro, Peyton Schambach, Blake Schambach and Taylor Schambach. Son of the late Eloise LeNormand Daigle and Edgar J. Daigle. Brother of Margie Maves, the late Catherine Aikman, Evelyn St. Pierre and Raymond Daigle, Sr.
He was a longtime parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church, a member of Christ the King K of C Council 6870, and The Very Rev. T.J. Larkin 4th Degree K of C. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and later worked as a Federal Maritime Commission Practitioner and Interstate Commerce Commission Practitioner.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Christ the King Catholic Church, 535 Deerfield Road in Terrytown on Friday, December 13, 2013 from 10 AM to 1 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment St. Bartholomew Cemetery in Algiers . Donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association ( www.heart.org ).
