Edgar Raoul Guillot, Jr. age 72 entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 16, 2014. Beloved son of the late Edgar Raoul Guillot, Sr. and Zulma Duplantis Guillot. Brother of the late Glennal Moore. Former husband of Ella Vasquez. Father of Edgar Guillot III, Xanah Guillot Cameron (Eddie), Tanya Guillot Tranchina (Chris) and Becky Guillot Belew (Jon). Grandfather of Jackson Karr, Christian, Zacharias and Izabella Cameron, Alex and Zoe Tranchina and Evelyn Belew. Step Grandfather of Austin Belew. Uncle of John Kenton Moore (Gina), Kristen Moore St. Pierre (Gary) and Glennal Moore Verbois, M.D. (Ira). Best Friend of Frank Ellis. Edgar served his country while enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was born in New Orleans, LA and a resident of Kenner, LA. Edgar received his Double Masters Degree from UNO and Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He was a professor of Mathematics at UNO and devoted his life to tutoring children in Education. He frequently spoke to public groups concerning Diabetes and he supported individuals who suffer with the disease. During his spare time, he enjoyed nature and loved watching birds. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 11AM until 1:30PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Guillot's name to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org .
