Edgar "Buck" Lee Ziegel, Jr.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of my father, Edgar “Buck” Ziegel, Jr., who passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on May 22, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Buck leaves behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Ziegel, his loving children Natosha and Edgar III, and his grandchildren Carlie, Kyler, and Edgar IV. Buck's presence will be dearly missed by his sisters Janet, Mona (Steve), Edna (Vincent), and Myrtle (John), as well as by numerous other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Edgar (Buck) Ziegel Sr. and Wilma Ziegel, and his siblings: Larry (Judy) and Alice.

My dad found joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending his time fishing, and playing pool. We will miss him and his loud TV playing his shows.

Visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd in Marrero starting at 9:00 am for the family and friends are welcome to join us at 11:00 AM, followed by a service at 1:30 PM. We will then proceed to Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna for his final resting place.
