Edith Scobel Ballay

Edith Scobel Ballay passed away peacefully on Christmas Day at the age of 96. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lionel A. Ballay; her parents, Luke and Louise Scobel; her brothers and sisters, Paul Scobel, Leon Scobel, John Scobel, Clem Scobel, Emmet Scobel, Ethel Perez and Odette Perez. Edith is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was born in Buras, LA and was a resident of New Orleans, LA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the funeral home on Thursday at 11AM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery, Buras, LA. Information: 504-366-4343.
