Edmund Robert Holmes

Edmund Robert Holmes passed away on December 6, 2013 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Antoinette Soleto Holmes. Father of Johanna Desselle Richard and Donna Lynn Desselle Ahlborn (Bruce). Grandfather of Tracey, Bruce Jr., Rodney, Jessica, Michelle, Robert, Richelle and Lacey. Great-grandfather of Bruce III “Trey”, Griffin, Bryce, Kole, Logan, Robbie, Alexis, Kody, Magen, Natalia, Aiden and Katie. Brother of Alexander F. Holmes. Son of the late Mildred Finnin Holmes and Alexander F. Holmes.
Edmund served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and earned several decorations including the Bronze Star. He later retired as a purchasing agent with National Gypsum.
The visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 10 AM to 1:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel.
