Edward Leon "Ed" Dewey Iii

Edward Leon “Ed” Dewey, III, born November 11, 1931, peacefully entered heaven on Sunday, August 18, 2013. He is walking in heaven with his beloved parents, Wilhelmina Dewey and Edward Dewey, Jr., his grandmother, Louise “Maw Maw” Keller and Charles Keller, grandsons Kevin Moredock and Patrick Cupit. He will be loved and missed by his devoted wife of 15 years, Faye Zimmer Dewey; children and their spouses Peter and Carmel Dewey, Frances and Charlie Moredock, and Thomas Dewey; stepchildren and their spouses Sheri and Anil Raj, Richard and Jean Tiemann, Suzanne and Don Cupit; grandchildren Laura and Sarah Dewey, Charles Moredock, Ashton, Dominic and Cole Dewey, Jacob Canzonieri, Michael Zdenek, Alex and Camille Tiemann, Katrina, Johnny, Joshua, Garrett, Emile and Jeffrey Cupit; great grandchild Olivia Moredock; former wife Margaret Dewey, a host of family and friends. Age, 81 years. A native and lifetime resident of the New Orleans area. Ed was a proud graduate of Jesuit High School class of 1949 and Loyola University. He was a passionate LSU and Saints fan. He faithfully served the Lord as Lector and Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist for his church parishes Christ the King, Terrytown and Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Kenner.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 1:30 PM. Interment will be private. Parlors will be open Wednesday from 10 AM until 1:30 PM.
