Edward Joseph Frickey Jr is survived by Long Time Companion/ wife/Friend of 30+ years: Patricia Marie Hammac (Frickey) (Buras, La) Step Mom Kim Frickey (Marrero) Daughter Randi (Jason) Smith (Georgia) & 2 granddaughters Aubrey & Avery. Aunt Betty(nanny) Gomez (Gulfport) Aunt Vera Dejesus (Louisiana) Uncle Jules (paran) (Kathleen)Frickey (Louisiana) & Aunt Christine Frickey (Westwego, La) : sister in Law Tammy Edwards (Mike ) Wilmer, Al & Lucille & Kenny Hamilton Wilmer, Al …Many Cousins , Nieces, Nephews & Friends. Edward Joseph Frickey Jr is proceeded in death by our: 2 Angel Babies ,Father Edward J Frickey Sr. (Venice); Grandmother & Grandfather Edith & Joseph Babineaux (Westwego); Brother Troy Frickey (Venice) Uncle Leon Frickey,( Westwego) Uncle Eddie Dejesus , (Harvey) Uncle Maurice (Moose ) Gomez (Marrero)..adopted Daddy Golden Boutte (Marrero) Edward aka Eddie or Punkin, was a long time Crew Boat Captain for Buds Boat Rental,& longtime Diesel Mechanic for Buds as well. He was a Ford fanatic & an automotive mechanic where he worked for Jimmy & Wanda Nixon (Hypertech ) & Roy & Bonnie Ulrich at Autotech, Kim and Kirby Allemand at Allemand Industries as a Diesel Mechanic. He was a lifetime commercial fisherman (Plaquemines Parish & Lafitte) He also worked for Boh Brothers for a short time after Hurricane Katrina & Rita. He was a hard worker, good friend & someone if you ever met him, you would never forget him. He loves motorcycles, fishing, racecars, Playing Pool & LSU & SAINTS Football. Eddie/Punkin had diabetes, high cholesterol, heart trouble & high blood pressure. Complications from all of this is what caused him to lose part of his left leg & be an amputee, & also cost him his life. In his honor we request everyone get checked, take your medicine, change your lifestyle. Enjoy each day as if it were your last. When you hear a roar of a motorcycle remember Punkin, when you hear a boat cranking up remember Punkin & when you hear a car race their engine remember Punkin. Memorial & Remembrance service will be Sunday October23, 2016 from 12 to 3 The Landing Lounge 500 Destrehan Ave Harvey, La 70058. Thank you to everyone who went to visit Punkin at the hospital & nursing home, so he knew you cared. Even though he couldn’t remember until I reminded him.
