Edward Lawrence Gerrets, a retired Electrician at Todd Shipyard, passed away surrounded by loving family on Sunday, March 20, 2011. Beloved Husband of the late Margaret Adams Gerrets. Father of Mary Miller (Husband Emile, Jr.), Rhonda Falgout (Husband L.J.) and Susan Matherne (Husband Norris). Son of the Late Henry B. Gerrets, Sr., and Eleanora Steel Gerrets. Brother of Bernadette G. Caballero, Thomas Gerrets (Wife Patsy), and the Late Henry B. Gerrets, Jr., (Wife the Late Mary Louise Gerrets). Grandfather of L.J. Falgout, III, Amy F. Banks (Husband Odley), Edward G. Falgout (Wife Kelly), Michelle T. Miller, Mindy L. Miller, Monica M. Miller, Emile Miller III, Dr. Ryan J. Matherne (Wife Dr. Jenny Matherne), and Lindsey E. Matherne. Great Grandfather of Ashleigh E. and Christian O. Banks, Madison, Rylan P. and Britton Edward Falgout. Survived by a Host of Nieces, Nephews and Godchildren. Relatives and Friends of the Family, also Archbishop Blenk Knights of Columbus Council No.1905, and Members of Manresa Retreat House, are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gretna, LA on Wednesday March 23, 2011 at 1:00 PM.
