Edward J. "Eddie" Lassiegne, Sr.

Edward J. “Eddie” Lassiegne, Sr., born at home on Whitney Avenue in Algiers, LA, on January 11, 1943, promoted to Heaven on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the age of 80 at his residence with his loving wife by his side.  He is the beloved husband of 19 years to Karen Quirk Hebert Lassiegne by 2^nd marriage and the late Barbara Calligan Lassiegne by 1^st marriage.  He is the son of the late Bernice Rodriguez Lasseigne and Harvey Lasseigne, Sr.  Loving father of Raymond Joseph Lassiegne (Tiffany Cascio), Howard Joseph Lassiegne (Shannon Bayhi) and the late Edward J. “Eddie” Lassiegne, Jr.  Loving Grandfather of Londyn Lassiegne, Blaze Lassiegne, Elyssa Lassiegne St. Germain (Jacob), Brianna Lassiegne (Nick Guthrie, Sr.) and Kailyn Lassiegne.  Great Grandfather of Nicholas Guthrie, Jr.  Brother of Katherine Crayton, John Lassiegne, Rose Nance and the late Harvey Lassiegne, Jr. and the late Valeria Shears.  Edward is the stepfather of Julie M. Hebert (Connie), Danette H. Folse (the late Roy), George P. Hebert, Jr. (Mandy) and Erin H. Maradiaga (Esdras).  Step Grandfather of Alexandra and Angelle Folse, Kaci Waguespack, Adison, Alanah, Elias and Samuel Maradiaga and Jordan and Gracie Bullock.  He is the Step Great-grandfather of Giovanni J. Folse and Gianna J. Folse.  Edward is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.  He was employed by Algiers Ironworks for many years and he was a long-standing member of Lucky 13 Social Club.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund, 610 6^th Street, Gretna, Louisiana 70053 in memory of Edward.  Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4401 7^th Street, Marrero, Louisiana on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 9AM until 10AM.  A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday at 10AM.  Interment will be held privately at a later date.  MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family during this difficult time.  Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com
