Edward Daniel O’Leary Jr., a loving, kind and generous husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away in his Harvey home surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the age of 78 years. He was born on February 16, 1938 in New Orleans, LA, grew up in the Irish Channel and graduated from Redemptorist High School, Class of 1956. He was a devout Christian and will always be remembered as being known as the Best Car Salesman in the Greater New Orleans area.
Ed is survived by the love of his life for 55 ½ years, Alwin “Boonie” Duncan O’Leary; his two daughters, Peggy Ann O’Leary Williams (Howard) and Donna Marie O’Leary Gonzales (Mark); grandchildren, Kyle Daniel and Kirsti Lee Gonzales; Ashley Marie and Kristen Lynn Williams; sister Patsy Jensen and brothers, Jerry O’Leary (Judith) and Timothy O’Leary (Maria); sister-in-law, Claire Capaci (the late Sam), brother-in-law Leon Duncan (Janey), numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends along with his canine companion, Sheba. He is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Williamson O’Leary and Edward Daniel O’Leary Sr. and brother-in-law, Alvin Duncan (Gerry).

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11 AM.
