Edward Joseph Orgeron, Jr., age 86 years, lost his battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on Monday, August 5, 2013 surrounded by his loving wife and family at their home in Westwego. Beloved husband of Lois Broussard Orgeron for 63 years. Loving father of Terry Orgeron, Sheron Ivicevich (Mark), JoAnn Gisclair (Nolan) and Pamela Trosclair (Jimmy Ditcharo). Brother of Walter Breaux, the late Horace Orgeron, Mildred Baker and Wallace Breaux. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Son of the late Lucille Pitre and Edward J. Orgeron, Sr. Age, 86 years. A native of Harvey, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. Mr. Orgeron retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Airforce having served 20 years in the military. He was retired from Avondale Shipyard, was a lifetime member and past commander of VFW Post#6793, a lifetime member of the K of C and a member of the American Legion Post #206. He was also an active member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, Westwego and served as a member of the Holy Name Society.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, Ave. A. Westwego, LA on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 1 PM. Interment, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego, LA. Parlors will be open Thursday at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA from 9 AM until 12:30 PM. The family extends gratitude to all the staff of Heart of Hospice, especially Leslie Mack and Linda Grishaber. His spirit will live on in our hearts.
