Eileen Quartler-Stracener

Eileen Quartler Stracener passed away on April 9, 2015, at the age of 61. Beloved wife of the late Jonathan Wayne Stracener. Step-mother of Wendy Stracener Hill (Richard). Sister of Chris Verdin (Robert Sr.). Grandmother of Erin Olivia Hill and Alexis Evelyn Hill. Aunt of Robert Verdin Jr. (Amelia) and Kelly Verdin. Great-aunt of Charlotte Verdin. Daughter of the late Bernard and Evelyn Fallon Quartler. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends, including her "Sistas of '72", with whom she had many great times. She will also be missed by her canine companion, Zoe.
Eileen graduated from L.W. Higgins High School, Class of 1972 and earned her BA in Education from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA. She taught at Elm Grove Elementary School, Lily White Ruppel Elementary School, and Worley Jr. High School. Eileen retired after 25 years of dedicated service to the education of our youth. She touched the lives of so many and will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA, on Saturday, April 18, 2015, from 1 PM to 3:30 PM.
