Elaine Burton Armstrong

Elaine Burton Armstrong passed away peacefully at her home on June 5, 2023 at the age of 85. Beloved mother of Raymond Armstrong and the late Clay Armstrong. Sister of David, Katie, Jean, and the late Ruby. Daughter of John C. Burton and Ruby Brant Burton Reynolds. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Elaine was an LPN and worked for many years at the old Plaquemines Parish Hospital in Port Sulphur and later at Coliseum House in New Orleans. She also was a professional sitter until Hurricane Katrina. She touched many lives with her compassion and care and will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 28698 LA-23, Port Sulphur on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 9am to 11am. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery.
