On May 17, 2024, the world lost a shining light as Elaine R. Laviolette passed away peacefully while holding the hand of her beloved husband at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, Louisiana. Born on October 13, 1956, in her cherished hometown of New Orleans, she was a treasure to all who knew her.
Elaine's journey through life was marked by love, dedication, and warmth that knew no bounds. She completed her education at Immaculata High School and went on to contribute her talents for many years at Flour Global in Accounts Payable. However, it was in her roles as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother that Elaine truly found her deepest fulfillment. Her love for her family radiated from her core and touched all those around her.
In the hearts of those who mourn Elaine's passing are her surviving family members: her loving husband Nathan Laviolette, Sr.; Angele Thibodaux (daughter): Nathan Laviolette, Jr. (son); Anna Laviolette (daughter-in-law); Olivia Thibodaux (granddaughter) ; brother Francis Rosiere (Cindy); brother Joseph Rosiere, Sr. (Estrella); brother-in-law Robert Laviolette (Mary); sisters-in-law Karen Landry (Kenny), Karen B. Laviolette; and Joel Brightbell (father-in-law), along with many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.
Elaine is now reunited with her parents Francis Rosiere, Sr. and Lydia F. Rosiere, as well as other deceased family members including her brother Michael Rosiere and sister Linda Distefano (Joe). She also joins in eternal peace with her mother-in-law Ruby Laviolette; father-in-law Robert Laviolette, Sr.; brother-in-law Roger Laviolette.
To honor Elaine's memory and the love she shared so generously in life, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Lupus Foundation of America in lieu of flowers.
Elaine R. Laviolette will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and light she brought into the world. May she rest in peace knowing that she was cherished beyond measure.
