Elaine Martinez Palermo passed away on July 7, 2014 at the age of 77 years. Beloved wife of 54 years to Joseph A. Palermo, Sr. Mother of Belinda Lasserre (David), Julie Tobin (Edwin “Toby”), Joseph Palermo Jr. (Kristina) and the late Ernest Joseph Palermo. Grandmother of Cory Cheramie (Kristy), Brook Lasserre, Wayne Schmauss (Robin) and Steven Schmauss. Great-grandmother of Brady Jo Cheramie and Alexia Schmauss. Sister of David Savin (Shirley) and the late Brenda Nichols (the late Robert). Daughter of the late Ernest and Lucille Savin Martinez. She is also survived by her dear friends, Linda and Billy Campbell along with many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Elaine was a retired beautician and faithfully served the Immaculate Conception Church Ladies Altar Society. She was an avid Saints fan who loved her Black and Gold. “Who Dat”!
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 9 AM to 1:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego.
