Elaine LaBauve Poillion

Elaine Mary LaBauve Poillion went to meet the Lord Jesus, Our Lady of Fatima, and Lawrence Poillion on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the age of 96. A lifetime resident of New Orleans, Elaine was the daughter of the late Evelyn Bordes LaBauve and Edmond LaBauve. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Joseph Poillion, her daughters, Lynda Susan Poillion and Renee Jeanette Poillion, her sister, Faye Ann Sauder (Don). She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Maria Palmisano; niece, Pam Markham; nephews, Brian Badger (Suzanne) and Johnny Badger (Ronetta); and many great nieces and nephews; Lester Guillot, a dedicated friend, and his family; Linda Schiro and Marilyn Marlborogh, friends. The family would like to thank all those at Our Lady of Wisdom for their loving care. 

Elaine was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, past member of the SAGES, and the Dragon Dance Club. Elaine never met a stranger. She loved to go dancing even though she was in a wheel chair for many years and like listening to music by her favorite disc jockeys

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Wisdom Community Care Center, 5600 Gen. De Gaulle Dr., Algiers, LA on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 11 AM. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until mass time. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery #3, 3401 Esplanade Avenue, New Orleans, LA. Mothe Funeral Homes handled arrangements.
