Ellen N. Somme

Ellen N. Somme entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Robert C. Somme. Daughter of the late Ovie Theodore Nelson and Mary Magedline Farmer Nelson. Loving mother of James N. Massie Jr., Mary E. Crider (Husband Charles), Natha Lea White (Husband Charles “Chuck”) and the late JoElla M. Pitts Louvier. Sister of the late Barent T. Nelson and Mary Ester Fitzgerald. Survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Ellen was a nurse in the operating room for 19 years at West Jefferson Hospital in Marrero. She was born in Lexington, NC and resided in Marrero, LA. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, May 13, 2013 from 8:30AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM. Interment will be in Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
