Elsa Rosanna Muniz

Elsa Rosanna Muniz, lovingly known as Chana, peacefully entered into eternal rest on December 2, 2024, at the age of 67. She was the cherished wife of the late Robert Muniz, Sr., and a devoted mother to her children: Alexis Jimenez (Christina), Robert Muniz, Jr., Nicholas Muniz, and Cristina Muniz (Wade). Elsa's warmth and love extended to her grandchildren, Isabella Jimenez, Enrique Jimenez, Jaslene Desilva, Jasmine Desilva, Ja'Niyah Desilva, and Wade Desilva, Jr., along with the memory of her late granddaughter, Lillian Jimenez.

Born in El Progresso, Honduras, Elsa was a proud resident of Harvey, Louisiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Dolores Velasquez Medina and Reynerio Carvajal, and the stepdaughter of the late Enrique Medina. Elsa was also a treasured sister to Rebecca Carvajal, Rina Foddrill, Rosina Carvajal, Suyapa Carvajal, and Julia Medina, and will be greatly missed by her numerous nieces and nephews.

Her legacy of love and kindness will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. We invite family and friends to celebrate her life at a memorial service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, located at 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA, on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 2 PM. Visitation will take place from 12 Noon until service time, with interment following privately.
