Elwood "Woody" Georgi Honoree

Elwood "Woody" Georgi Honoree passed away on August 10, 2013 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Doris Wichterich Honoree by second marriage and the late Corinne Braatz Honoree by first marriage. Loving father of Michael Elwood Honoree and Renee H. Foote (Keith). Step-father of Deborah G. Dorsa (John), Beth G. Raymond (Gerald Sr.), Nancy G. Keeler (Raphael) and the late Kimberly G. Nuccio (Charles Jr.). Grandfather of Jared and Seth. Step-grandfather of Gerald Jr., Joshua, Corey, Jason, Charles III, William, Celeste, Byron, Laura, Colin and Julia. Step-great grandfather of Collin. Brother of the late Herbert Honoree (Joretta). Son of the late Elsie Georgi Honoree and Henry P. Honoree.
Elwood served his country in the U.S. Army as a member of the 301st Signal Corps during World War II. He later worked for Friden Business Machines, Singer Business Machines and retired from TRW. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church and was a talented woodworker.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 6336 Berkley Drive, Algiers, LA 70131 on Monday, August 19, 11AM - 12PM. Religious services will follow. Interment Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in his name.
