Emelda Sevin Zar

Emelda “Peanut” Sevin Zar passed away on December 30, 2015 at the age of 70 years. Beloved wife of the late Wilson Zar Sr. Mother of Monica Zar-Williams (Mark), Wilson Zar Jr. (Jewell Brown), George Zar (Debra) and Stephanie Zar. Grandmother of George, Kalan, Katie, Tammy, Lyric, Georgia, Michael, Brandon, Brittany and Chelsea. Great-grandmother of Aiden, Abigail, Caden, Blaise, Raiden, Julian, Danny and Makaylee. Sister of Willie Sevin, Charlie Sevin, Ellis Sevin, Delma Gaudet, the late Ida Mae Koenig and Eddie Sevin. Daughter of the late Charles and Willie Mae Rousell Sevin. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Peanut loved spending time with her family and was an avid Saints football and Mardi Gras fan. She will be sadly missed but her life will be celebrated.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 11 AM. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 PM to 10 PM, resuming on Monday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
