Emery James Fischer

Emery James Fischer, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Doris Tate Fischer. Father of Ellen Fischer, Adele F. Miller and the late Louis T. Fischer. Brother of the late Lillian Wyman and John Fischer. Son of the late Gertude Ries Fischer and Emery James Fischer, Sr. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was 92 years, a native of New Orleans, LA, resided in New Orleans, LA from 1919-1948, Harvey, LA from 1948-1981, Magnolia, MS from 1981-2007 and most recently resided in Gretna, LA. Mr. Fischer attended Alcee Fortier High School and worked for Wright Root Beer and Big Shot of Metairie and began Fischer Sales in 1964. He was a deacon at Marrero Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church and Magnolia Baptist Church. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES in charge of arrangements.
