Emile Anthony Heron, Sr. a retired boiler maker with Avondale Shipyard, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of the late Cherrie Whitcomb. Beloved father of Emile Anthony Heron, Jr.(Elizabeth) and Carrie Spencer. Brother of Elaine H Miller (the late Charles), Yvonne H. Billiot (Roy), Marie LeBlanc (Thomas), Arthur Heron, Jr. (Mable) and the late Arnold Heron. Son of the late Arthur James Heron, Sr. and Marie Buras Heron. Grandfather of Emile Anthony Heron, III, Chasity and Cameron Spencer. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA, a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army and Navy. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 9AM. Interment will be private. Visitation will be Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 6 PM until 10 PM and resume Monday at 8AM.
