Emile "Moon" Zatarain

Emile “Moon” Zatarain, Jr. passed away on November 17, 2011. He was 91 years of age and a longtime resident of Algiers, LA. Beloved husband of 64 years to Cleo Judlin Zatarain. Brother of Robert E. Zatarain and Herman H. Zatarain. Uncle of Debbie Landry Zatarain, Terri Zatarain Blevins and Jan Zatarain Clifton. Great-uncle of Glen Michael Zatarain, Jr. and Ginger Zatarain. Cousin of Dianne and Richard Ockman, Louis Kinsinger Virginia Kinsinger and the late Rose Raggio. Son of the late Blanche Klein Zatarain and Emile Zatarain, Sr. He graduated from Martin Behrman High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, assigned to the 15th Cavalry Recon, 1942-1945. He later retired from Entergy (LP & L) and was a member of Santa Maria Knights of Columbus Council No. 1724. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 1300 Vallette Street in Algiers on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 9 AM to 11 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow.
