Emma Russell Cronin

Emma Russell Cronin passed away on April 19, 2016 at the age of 68 years. Beloved wife of the late Michael Raymond Cronin. Mother of Michael John Cronin (Stefanie) and Mary Cronin Letsch (Rick). Sister of the late Dennis Russell, John Russell and Duval Russell. Sister-in-law of Annette Russell. Aunt of Kel and DeAnn Russell. Daughter of the late John Aloysius Russell and Eva Esther Keller Russell. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Emma, better known as Emmie, graduated from Nicholls State University with her Bachelor’s in Education. She retired from Jefferson Parish Public Schools after 33 years of dedicated service at McDonogh #26 Elementary School and Geraldine Boudreaux Elementary School. She was a proponent of literacy, teaching others to read long after her retirement. Emmie loved her oldies music, especially Motown and Irma Thomas. Her legacy will continue in those she taught and whose hearts she touched. She will be sadly missed but her life will be celebrated.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 10 AM to 1:30 PM.
