Emmeline Joseph

A beautiful, gentle soul has transitioned into the arms of her heavenly father. Mrs. Emmeline Joseph, at the age of 66 passed away on October 19th after a courageous battle against cancer. She was born on April 6th, 1957, in Augier St. Lucia to parents Sylvina Clercin and Joseph Edgar. Emmeline attended Augier combined school and worked for Ochsner hospital for many years as a dietary aide until her retirement. She is preceded in death by her mother Sylvina Clercin and brother Kenty Albert. Emmeline was a devoted wife to her husband Norrens Joseph for 36 years and brought forth five boys, Alvin Joseph, Charles Joseph (Albertha Joseph), Urban Joseph (Delia Joseph), Jonathan Joseph, Jean Claude Joseph and one girl, Shiline Joseph Batiste (Anthony Batiste). She was a loving sister to her siblings Mary Albert, Sebiana Albert, Theresa Albert, Gloria, Stephen Albert and the late Kenty Albert and sister-in-law to, Thomas Joseph, Nicholas Percin, Fabian Joseph, Justin Percin, Simone Dalsan, Joan Celestin, Joycelyn Percin and Jeanette Percin. Mrs. Emmeline absolutely adored her grandkids Darla Joseph, Mosiah Joseph, Eliza Joseph, Samara Joseph, Jonathan Joseph Jr and Amariah Joseph. She was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives including Sabina Joseph, Maria Sadoo Curtis, Beverly Dalsan, Kevin Celestin, Donavan Joseph and Miguel Albert. Her hobbies were cooking, shopping, being around her family whenever possible, praying and keeping faith even during her most difficult moments. She never questioned the lord but instead said 'THANK YOU LORD’. Relatives and friends are invited to the celebration of Emmeline's life on Friday October 27th,20023 at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd Marrero LA 70072. Viewing is from 11:30 am to 1:30pm service starts at 1:30. She will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery ,1225 Whitney Ave, Gretna, LA 70056.
