Emmett Raymond Smith

Emmett Raymond Smith passed away on January 17, 2013 at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of 66 years to Audrey Thorning Smith. Father of Noretta Smith Stackel (husband, Gordon). Grandfather of Catherine Stackel (husband, Jeremy Hebert) and Anne Stackel. Brother of Louis Smith, Catherine Crawford, Farrell Smith and Rita Mae Knox. Son of the late Wilburga Hotard Smith and Joseph Smith.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy and later retired from Bell South.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 3643 Aurora Drive in New Orleans on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 9 AM to 10 AM. Services will follow at the Church. Interment will take place at McDonogh Cemetery in Gretna.
