Enola Serigny Bei

Enola S. Bei, 80 passed away peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2023. She is now reunited with her loving Husband, Leo F. Bei, Jr. She is the daughter of the late June Ebdonia Billiot S. Cheramie and Ulysses Serigny and step daughter of the late Wilson P. Cheramie. Sister of Catherine Cheramie Rodrigue and the late Steve Cheramie. Mother of David L. Bei, James M. Nowell, Jr. (Betty), Gary B. Nowell (Jean) and her Canine Son, Gizmo. Enola is the Grandmother of Scott Nowell (Bobbie), Rachel Bei Devlin (Cory), Melissa Palermo (Gary), Cher Marsino (Derek), Cerissa L. Nowell (Zack) and Garen B. Nowell (Haylee). Great Grandmother of Tyler Nowell, Ethan Nowell, Carson Devlin, Harrison Devlin, Jameson Devlin, Alyssa Palermo, Gaige Palermo and Saige Palermo. She is the Aunt of Tommy Plaisance (Dawn), Courtney Rodrigue Velazquez (Tony). Great Aunt of Talan Velazquez, Tevyn Velazquez, Tayden Velazquez, Madison Plaisance and Joshua Plaisance. Enola enjoyed many things in life like riding in The Irish Italian Parade, playing cards, volunteering, reading and watching football. She loved watching LSU and the Saints. Most of all, she loved her family which included her loving dog, Gizmo. She never failed to make those around her smile or laugh. There are so many wonderful memories we will enjoy for years, with so much laughter and maybe a few tears, because she will be missed. During football season she made sure she was ready and cheering for her teams. She volunteered for as long as she could with the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3121. She would volunteer for The Gretna Fest which she loved and enjoyed seeing so many people she knew and would share stories of their lives at the time. She also volunteered at the Gretna Farmer’s Market and the VA Hospital. The life of the ones she loved will never be the same without her, but because of her, our lives are better. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 9AM until 1:30PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
