Ernest A. Bourgeois Sr.

Ernest A. Bourgeois, Sr., retired Fire Chief for Boothville/Venice Volunteer Fire Department and a lifetime resident of Venice, LA passed away on November 27, 2015 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Ida Mae Navarre Bourgeois for 66 years. Father of Donna Billings, Michael Bourgeois, Curtis Bourgeois, JoAnn Bourgeois and the late Ernest A. Bourgeois, Jr., and Peggy Sue Holston. Father in law of Rick Billings, Tammy Bourgeois, Angela Smith, Mavis Bourgeois, and Linda Bourgeois. Son of the late Alice and Desiree Sylvester Bourgeois. Preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters and survived by one brother, Leon Bourgeois. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 1:30pm.
