Ernest Joseph Cambre, Sr.

Ernest Joseph Cambre, Sr., beloved husband of Elizabeth Adams Cambre passed away on April 5, 2013 at the age of 66. Ernest was the son of the late Annette Bourgeois Cambre and the late Sevene Cambre. Father of Belinda Cambre Van Hoogstraten (Husband Jarrod), Brandi Cambre Jolliff (Husband John) and Ernest Cambre, Jr. (Gina). Brother of Judy Duet (Husband Norman), Beverly Bourgeois (Husband Henry), Carolyn Fraychineaud (Husband Albert) and Helen Mire (Husband Robert). Grandfather of Dustin Jolliff, Jenna Van Hoogstraten, Bailey Van Hoogstraten and Evan Cambre. He served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He worked at Avondale Shipyards for 40 years as a welder and foreman. Ernest was also an avid Saints and LSU fan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, April 8, 2013 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 8AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, LA.
