Ernie served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant. He was also a long time manager with Amtrak Railroad. After his retirement, his passion for fishing inspired him to become a fishing charter captain, even having his favorite spot named in his honor: “Ernie’s Hole”. He spent many years on the waters of Venice, LA enjoying life and was always so entertaining with his wonderful “joke telling”. Cheer, Cheer for old Notre Dame and Cheer, Cheer for you Ernie Mnichowski. You brightened our lives! You are gone but will never be forgotten.
