Ernest “EJ” Orgeron, Jr. peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 26, 2016 at the age of 73 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved and loving husband of Anne Perkins Orgeron for 54 years. Son of the late Ernest Orgeron, Sr. and Priscilla Guidroz Orgeron. Loving and devoted father of Ernest “Ernie” Orgeron III (Tanya) and Dean Orgeron (Michelle). Beloved grandfather of Heather Orgeron, Andrea Orgeron and Jordan Orgeron. Great Grandfather of 1 expectant Great Grandchild. Beloved brother of Kathleen Tamborella (Dale), Allen Orgeron, Charlene Ainsworth, David Orgeron, Curtis Orgeron and the late Raymond Orgeron, Glenn Orgeron, Ranell O. Plaisance and Lawrence Orgeron. EJ is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was an avid bowler and he enjoyed fishing especially Bass fishing. He was a Third Degree Knights of Columbus of Council 3091 of Westwego and was a letter carrier for the Westwego Post Office until his retirement. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred or consider donations to Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Westwego. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Avenue A and Fourth Street, Westwego, LA on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego, LA. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
