Ethel Schouest "Linda" Gambino

Ethel Schouest “Linda” Gambino passed away on December 30, 2014 at the age of 64 years. Beloved mother of the late Jolynn Gambino. Daughter of the late Alton P. and Annabelle Rausch Schouest. Sister of Phillip “T-Boy” Schouest (Alida), Leroy Schouest (Sybil), Lena Schouest (Tommy), David “Pete” Schouest, the late Geraldine Smith (the late Louis), Elton A. Schouest (Marilyn) and Nathan Schouest (Olite). Beloved companion of Norman Champagne. Beloved best friend of the late Daniel “Boone” Perque. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, loving friends and family. Special thanks to Total Home Health Care, especially her nurse Elizabeth “Liz” Thibodeaux and her loving sister, Lena Schouest for the care and compassion.
She was a lifelong resident of Westwego, LA and worked for many years at the Old Scorpio Lounge, the former Say Say Lounge and was a cook for Riverway Barge Company. She loved to play Bingo and shop especially at garage sales. She was a talented cook and dancer and enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11 AM. Interment Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum in Westwego. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 5 PM to 9 PM, resuming on Monday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
