Eunice Matherne Sapia

Eunice Matherne Sapia, a lifelong resident of Barataria, LA passed into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the age of 99. Daughter of the late Ben Matherne and Louise Dufrene Matherne. Beloved wife of the late Eddie Sapia Sr. Loving mother of Eddie Sapia Jr. (the late Diana) and Brenda Adam (Dickie). Sister of the late Victoria Matherne Smith, Jane Matherne Frickey and John W. Matherne. Her precious memories will be cherished by her grandchildren, Sandie S. Conrad (Kit), Lisa A. Ducoing (P.J.), Dinah S. Lannes (Tyrone), Ryan Adam, Sr. ( Jeanette), Tammy S. Foley (Tim), and Adele S. Lowe (Rodney). Survived by 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandsons. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1:30pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Lafitte, LA. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:30am until 1:30pm. Interment St. Pius X Cemetery, Crown Point, LA.
