Eurice "Du" Dufrene

Eurice “DU” A. Dufrene entered into eternal rest on May 17, 2012, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Lois Sampey Dufrene of 64 years. Son of the late Elier and Matilda Dufrene and son in law of the late Harry and Viola Sampey. Father of Otis Dufrene (Jeannine), Curt Dufrene (Gwen), Stacey Dufrene (fiance Roger Maison) and the late Susanne Latham (Charles Latham, Sr). He is the brother of the late Winnie Pierce, Rita Verrett, Aleda Dufrene, Lorrina Dufrene and Willey Matherne. His grandchildren are Cherie Burlette (Will), Shannon Quillin (Bert), Charles Latham Jr., Christie Porche, Rachele Loffer (Matt), Natalie Becnel, Curt Dufrene Jr. (Crystal), Konrad Becnel, Mishalene Wasmer (John), Maegan Becnel and Kristen Becnel. He is survived by 13 great grandchildren. He was a native of Gheens, LA and a resident of Belle Chasse since 1969.The family would like to give special thanks to his caregivers and employees of Ochsner Medical Center-Westbank.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 1:30 PM on Friday, May 18, 2012 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Belle Chasse, LA with visitation on Friday from 12:00 noon until Mass time. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.
