Evelyn Mayer Scarabin

Evelyn Mayer “Ev” Scarabin of Venice, LA passed away on July 26, 2012 at the age of 76. She leaves behind a devoted husband of 59 years to Herbert J. Scarabin, Sr; Sons, Herbert J. Scarabin, Jr. and Michael J. Scarabin (Anna); Granddaughters, Monica and Michelle Scarabin; Brothers, Harold Mayer, Sr. (Sandra) and Allen Mayer (Joan); Brother-in-law, Charles Yarbrough; Sister-in-law, Raquel Buras and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Scarabin; her Parents, Earbin “Buster” and Grace Mayer; sisters, Lee Leora Lloyd (Harry) and Geri Yarbrough; Brothers, Sonny and Thurlow Mayer, Sr. Evelyn retired from Plaquemines Parish School Board as a Dietary Service Worker at Boothville-Venice High School. She will be sadly missed by so many. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 6PM until 11PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, July 30, 2012 from 7AM until 9AM. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 9AM.
