F. Marx Gibson, a Self Employed Master Carpenter entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 28, 2021 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Bertha S. Gibson of 48 years. Son of the late Patrick H. Gibson and Juanita Ruiz Gibson. Loving father of Michelle G. Cappiello (Mark), Charles M. Gibson, Katie M. Trosclair (Roger), Francis Marx Gibson (Michelle), Jerilynn Gibson and the late Kenneth Trosclair (Survived by Etta). Grandfather of Toby Trosclair (Kami), Ty Trosclair, John Buie, Michael Cappiello (Heather), Kim Tran, Matthew Damico (Jodi), Mason Cappiello (Mary), Isabel Gibson and Samuel Marx Gibson. Great Grandfather of Owen, Olivia, Luke, Slyde and Lauren Trosclair; Alyssa and Ashton Buie; Aedyn, Quinn and Deklan Cappiello; Mila and Adalynn Damico; Jessie James and Gabrielle Guidry. Brother of the late Edward G. Gibson, Joseph W. Gibson, Roland Gibson, Patrick H. Gibson, Jr., Henrietta G. Lauman, Juanita G. Boudreaux, Mary Agnes Gibson and Gayle G. Ponseti. Mr. Gibson was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Marrero, Louisiana. He was drafted in the United States Army in May of 1958 through May of 1960 to Ft. Riley, Kansas and Muich, Germany, 1st Division, 28th Infantry, Black Lyons. He was reactivated October of 1961 through August of 1962 in Fort Polk, Louisiana, 144th Infantry, 49th Armored Division. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 11AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
