Faye Olinde Palao, age 82, went to be with her Savior on January 5, 2017. She was the devoted wife of the late Michel “Mike” Palao and loving mother of Regina (Terry) Roubion, Michella “Mimi” (Brian) Crabtree and the late Angela (Tom) Gigante. Her world revolved around her grandchildren, Monique, Jeffrey, Victoria, Melody, Melinda, Jennifer, Justin, Brianna, and the late Michael and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lazard and June Olinde and her sister, Joyce (Herbert) Daigle. As a professional artist, her paintings were sold and displayed in many shows and galleries around the city. She served the Lord faithfully through her hospitality, singing at “Senior Stars” and nursing homes and by spreading the love of Jesus everywhere she went. She was known for her love for cooking and was famous for her stuffed artichokes. The family would like to thank Eagan Hospice for their loving care. Faye was born in New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Gretna, LA. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Westpoint Church, 664 Behrman Highway, Terrytown, LA 70056 from 9AM until 12 Noon. Funeral Services will be held at Westpoint Church on Tuesday at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
