Florence Benoit Bourgeois

Florence Benoit Bourgeois went to be with her savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
on Wednesday, January 14, 2016. Beloved wife of the late James C. Bourgeois,
Sr. Devoted mother of Terrie A. Toups (Ted), Patty R. Buras (Duane Sr.),
Duane A. Rochelle (Melanie). Step mother to Pamela B. Dufrene (Ray) and
Glenn J. Bourgeois (Susan). Daughter of the late Albertine Thibadeaux Benoit
and Ferdinand Benoit. Sister of Dora B. Orgeron and the late Pearl B.
Bartolo, Mary B. Valence, Roy Benoit and Richard Benoit. Loving grandmother
of William Kerner, Darlyn Kerner, Angel Kerner, Deanna B. Falcon, Duane
Buras Jr., Ashley R. Daigle, Lauren Rochelle, Tina F. Newton, James
Bourgeois and Patrick Bourgeois. Survived by 13 great grandchildren, 2 great
great grandchildren and another great grandchild expected in June. She was
88 years and a lifelong resident of Westwego, LA. For the past 3 years she
was a resident of Wynhoven Nursing Home with her loving roommate Jenny
Zelaya. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the doctors
and nurses of CCU at West Jefferson Hospital for their excellent care. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 11AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
