Floyd J. Callais, Sr

Floyd J. Callais Sr passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Clara "Tot" Ouber Callais. Father of Phylis Callais and the late Floyd "Jay" Callais Jr. Father-in-law of Sallie Callais. Son of the late Delta Duet Callais and Frederick Callais. Brother of the late Lucy Chabert Leaycraft. Grandfather of Lisa, David, Jeanette, Michelle, Mimi, Candace and Nathan. Also survived by 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by his loving companion, Ruth Barthel and family. He was a native of Cut Off, LA, a resident of New Orleans, LA and of Metairie, LA for the past 28 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 11am. Interment, Restlawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9am until 11am. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Chateau Living Center and to Passages Hospice for their loving care.
