Forrest M. Slawson

Forrest M. Slawson, age 89 entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 5, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Virgie Ledet Slawson. Son of the late Ira Slawson and Madge Johnson Slawson. Father of Beth A. Slawson and Michael M. Slawson (Lauren). Grandfather of Jennifer Forstater, Jaymee Andree, Amanda Owens (Tim), Seth Slawson and Ethan Slawson. Great Grandfather of Brandon Gardner, Tory Forstater, Isabella Forstater, Essence Owens and Malachi Owens. Brother of Bobby Slawson and the late Ira Slawson, Merle Slawson, Claude Slawson and Gladys Trembath. Forrest was born in Michigan and was a resident of Harvey, LA and Lafitte, LA. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0401. He served his country in the Pacific while enlisted in the United States Navy. Forrest worked for Sears and NRE Power Systems. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 9AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
