Francisca "Paquita" Martin

Francisca “Paquita” Martin passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 31, 2014. She is survived by her children Francisco “Franco” (his wife Yvonne), Jose’ (his wife Joanne), and Maria (and ex husband Ernest) and her grandchildren, Carlos, Francisca, Victoria, and Enrique. She is also survived by her brothers Pedro and Satur, and her sister Lola. She was a beloved and kind mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Felix Martin. Born in Spain but was a long time resident of Harvey, Louisiana. In her time she was widely known and regarded as an educator, writer, and an exemplary master tailor.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 1:30 PM. Interment will be private. Parlors will be open Sunday, February 2, 2014 from 6 PM until 9 PM and again Monday from 9 AM until 1:30 PM
