Francisca Thibodeaux “Nana” “Mrs. Frances”

The Lord called upon Francisca “Nana” Thibodeaux on October 11, 2024. She passed away in her home at the age of 84. She was a devoted wife for 49 years, a nurturing mother, a compassionate grandmother, a loving sister, a dearly beloved relative, and a treasured friend to many. Francisca was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, on July 30, 1940. She started her career as a nurse, graduated from Soule College, and later became a seamstress for Deansgate Inc. for 30 years. Francisca meant the world to everyone that knew her. She was cherished for her contagious laughter and joy, empathy for others, outspokenness and honesty, and her will to live a long and healthy life. She was the best mother, grandmother, sister, and friend that anyone could ask for. She is preceded in death by her mother Zoila Chavez, husband George Thibodeaux and her son-in-law Cameron Dugas Jr. Francisca is survived by her daughter Lisa Dugas, grandsons Brett and Cameron Dugas III, sister Rosa Ceballos, daughters at heart Wanda Warren and Dodie Jordan, and numerous relatives and friends. Nana will be missed forever and in our hearts, always. Everywhere we go we will see her likeness, everything we do will remind us of her compassion and laughter, and every time we think, we will remember what she would have done and feel her warm embrace. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 8AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11AM. Interment will be in Plaisance Cemetery (Holy Sanctified Cemetery), Westwego, Louisiana.
