Frank J. Belas, Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 26th, 2021 in his home in Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of 91; he was a former 41-year resident of Gretna, LA. Beloved husband of the late Anna Mae Guarino Belas. Frank graduated from Fortier High School in New Orleans, LA and served his country as a military policeman in the Army during the Korean War. He worked in the plumbing and industrial pipe/valve/fitting business for a combined 67 years with 3 companies: Crane Supply Co., Wolverine Brass, and Mark’s Plumbing Parts. Frank retired in 2013 and moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to be with his son. Frank is survived by his son, Dr. Frank J. Belas, Jr. (Lisa) and grand-daughters Haleigh and Sophia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Guarino Belas, mother Alice Belas, father John J. Belas, brother, Richard J. Belas, and infant sister Rose Belas. A private interment was held at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna, LA on June 4th, 2021. Mothe Funeral Homes handled the arrangements.
