Buras, Frank Thomas 87 years of age born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Frederick Paul and Sybil Devall Buras, passed away on Saturday May 24, 2014. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and retired from the US Army after 22 years of service. He was also a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, the former Bertha Ilish of Newport News, Virginia, and five children, Frank E. Buras, wife Patricia Young Buras, Trudy Buras Ramey, husband Stewart T. Ramey, Thomas A. Buras, wife Honora Sloss Buras, Howard I. Buras, wife Catherine Cooper Buras, Ralph R. Buras, wife Donna Baier Buras, twelve Grandchildren, Kim Buras Prevost, Erica Buras Moore, Jennifer Buras Mclachlan, Natalie Buras Bratton, Douglas Ramey, Lauren Ramey, Amanda Buras, Nicholas Buras, Nicole Noggle Walsh, Michael Noggle, Hannah Buras, and Sarah Buras and seven Great Grandchildren, Jacob Prevost, Benton Prevost, Roselynn Moore, Caroline Moore, Wakeley Mclachlan, Harper Walsh, and Reagan Walsh. A visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home 2100 Westbank Expressway and Maplewood Drive on Friday the 30th of May 2014 from 3pm to 7pm.
Funeral and Burial will be held at a later date in Ivor, Virginia.
