Frank J. Cherry Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at the age of 85. He was a native of McDonoughville and life long resident of the West Bank, residing in Belle Chasse at the time of his death. Frank retired after a long career at the Chevron Oronite Chemical Plant. He was an avid golfer and loved hosting crawfish boils at his former home in Maplewood Subdivision. He served 2 years in the Louisiana National Guard.
Father of Diane Mohr (late Stephen) of Ohio, Frank Cherry III, Melinda Reis (John), late Sharon Welch, and Rachel Parker. Son of the late Lucille and Frank Cherry Sr.
Grandfather of Brandi Cadier, Samantha Schenker, Angelle Rowe, Tiffany Morales, Sarah Young, Kelli Mohr, Nick Mohr, John Reis III. Numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to a memorial at the home of John & Melinda Reis on Sunday, November 8th at 417 Venus Dr, Mandville, LA. Stop in any time between the hours of 1pm and 4pm. Due to COVID 19, please wear a mask.
