Frank Edward Devillier

Frank Edward DeVillier, dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on November 2, 2022. Frank was born in Opelousas, Louisiana on August 2, 1932. He served in the U.S. Army following the end of WWII in the Constabulary. After his service he met and married his wife of 60 years Nevlas. They moved to New Orleans and began a family having two daughters, Cindy and Nadine. Frank worked until retirement for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He filled his family and friends’ hearts with music, his love for cooking, and growing his home grown vegetables. He was all about “ Passing a Good Time”. Being outdoors and bringing his kids and grandkids camping brought him much joy. He is preceded by his wife Nevlas and leaves 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren to carry on his legacy.
Frank was extremely proud of his family and always generous with all that he had. He will be missed beyond measure. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 Sixth Street, Gretna, LA on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 10am. Visitation will be held at the church from 9am until 10am. Interment, Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr, Slidell, LA 70460, on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 10am where military honors will be rendered.
