Fred J Gautro Sr

Fred J Gautro Sr was born on September 3, 1960. His parents, the late Eulavea B. Jones and the late Martin F. Gautro, raised him alongside his siblings. Brothers, Martin F. Gautro Jr. (Helen), John C. Gautro (Melissa), Doug A. Gautro, Sr. (Dawn), Steven Clark (late), and sisters Mary Clark (late), Homa J. Lester (late Robert), Pamela A. Gautro, Mary J Smythe (Valentine, Sr.), and Dora Bailey(late). Growing up, our father had a close-knit family that instilled in him the values of love, compassion, and hard work. 

 He met the love of his life, Therisa Gautro (late), and they were married for 20 years. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised seven children, Sarah Calame (Justin), Ashlie Gautro (Ricky), Fred Gautro, Jr., Devin Gautro, Joseph Brown (Becky), Jessica Brown, and Anlea Herrin. He adored his grandchildren, Lily, Gavin, Savannah, Fred III, Rachel, Rebekah, Jodi, Joseph Jr, Xander, Chloe, Chet, Owen, Alaida, Taylor, and Leiam. Fred is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. 

Fred will always be remembered for his big heart and the way that he always took care of everyone. We’ll always imagine hearing him say “WHO DAT” one more time. Whether it was a BBQ in the backyard, Sunday breakfast, or cheering on the Saints, we always enjoyed our family time with him.
