Garnet “Me-Me Cat” Fazende Rojas passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the age of 54. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Anthony Rojas. Daughter of the late Thomas and Fae Fazende. Mother of Tabitha Rojas (Husband Wayne Krieger) and Devin Rojas (PNC Wesley Kamakaokeakua Ludloff). Grandmother of Mya Krieger and Trey Krieger. Sister of Tess F. Zar (Husband Barry), Rita f. Smith (Husband Stuart) and Thomas G. Fazende (Wife Denice). Also survived by her feline babies, Sammy Jo and Milo, many nieces, nephews, “scrapaholics” and her extended work families. Garnet was born in Algiers, was a lifelong resident of Lafitte until Hurricane Gustave and resided in Harvey, LA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 9AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the funeral home on Friday at 1PM. Interment will be private. The family is requesting funeral attire to be Red to celebrate the life of “Me-Me”.
