Gary Gilbert Levert

Gary Gilbert Levert passed away on December 1, 2015 at the age of 84 after battling cancer for many years. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 22, 1931 to the late Gertrude Gilbert Levert and August Dumonte Levert in Bogalusa, LA. A resident of the Westbank for many years, currently of Denham Springs, LA for the past 10 years. He was a retired Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force and very proud of his navigational skills. He retired from Martin Marietta after working many years as a mechanical engineer. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Joycelyn Henning Levert. Loving father of Bonnie L. Charleville (Michael), Kenneth C. Levert (Analyn), Michael T. Levert (Rachel), Daniel M. Levert and Trudy L. Marks (Scott). Brother of Beverly Borberg. Grandfather of Kenneth Levert, Jr., Kevin Levert, Jenna Levert Kelley, Chad Levert, Kaylyn Levert, Michael Charleville, III, Brandy Charleville Ryan, Scott Levert, Stefanie Levert, Ashlie Levert, Scott Marks, Jr. and Megan Marks. Step-Grandfather of Carlos Doubleday, Jr. and Erika Doubleday. Great Grandfather of eleven. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 1:30 PM. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Parlors will be open from 10 AM until mass time.
